#collectivetransport The new Macerata Università railway station (a project worth 1.65 million euro, partof a wider 110 million electrification project involving the entire Civitanova MarcheAlbacina line) was designed to change the city’s life and that of nearly 5.000students from the Bertelli campus, which until now was only accessible by car.The new station has a new 150m platform protected by a canopy. It also has atactile path for the blind, self service ticket tellers, LED lighting, cctv systems and aPA system. The new electrified line will transform the local line into a sort of surface metroconnecting the Vergini district with the city centre. With this latest project, theMarche Region will become one of Italy’s most electrified regions, with a quota of92%.For this project, Energy Rethink was in charge of the mechanical, electrical andspecial systems’ design. #stopglobalwarming Cavotec Specimas SpA is a multinational company specialised in the manufacturingof lifting and handling equipment. For their new 150-staff warehouse located in Nova Milanese, we built a newheating/cooling system based on heat-pumps featuring full inverter magneticlevitation centrifugal compressors with groundwater condensation. A latestgeneration system ensuring exceptional performance. To maximise sustainability we used geothermal energy and eco-friendly HFO R-1234ze refrigerant, which has an extremely low Global Warming Potential: 7 versusa GWP of 2.800 for the traditional R 407 refrigerants.Rethink Energy was in charge of designing the mechanical, power, electrical andspecial installations, as well as of the project management and the direction andcoordination of MEP works. #archistars Year:2022 The works at Sesto San Giovanni’s new railway station represent the first step of MilanoSesto, an urban regeneration project involving the rehabilitation of former industrial sites in Italy (and mostly Europe). It will transform an area of 1.5 Million sqm, redesigning the entire urban layout of the city and contributing to redefine the new boundaries of the Milan metropolitan area.   The project was developed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop and Ottavio Di Blasi & Partners.   The masterplan provides for the construction of a steel and glass bridge above the existing railway line to connect the two parts of the city that were divided by the tracks: Piazza 1° Maggio and the former Falck industrial area. The new station will host businesses, bars and services for travellers and visitors.   The pedestrian bridge was designed according to sustainability standards: the great glass roof will be fitted with a 110 by 28 m photovoltaic cap that should supply enough energy to cover the station’s entire electricity needs.   For this futuristic and sustainable project, Rethink Energy was in charge of the  MEP works direction.
