In the Cagnola district of Milan, once a rural village on the border between the municipalities of Corpi Santi, Boldinasco, and Villapizzone, a redevelopment project is breathing new life into one of the last remaining historical clusters in the area.
Designed by Asti Architetti, the intervention involves the refurbishment and expansion of a narrow building located along the alley between Via Giambattista Bodoni 11 and Via Privata della Bindellina, transforming it into a modern residential building.
The project, named “PortHello,” includes the renovation of the existing structure and the construction of a new volume in the area currently occupied by a warehouse and a garden, which will be partially preserved. As in many of Paolo Asti’s projects, the goal is to maintain a strong link to the site’s historical identity while offering modern, functional living spaces.
Rethink Energy Srl was responsible for the detailed design of the mechanical, electrical, and special systems, implementing advanced, energy-efficient technologies fully integrated with the building’s architectural concept.
